The week ahead | All Eyes on ECB Interest Rate Decision

To start off the week tomorrow, Japan will be releasing reports on Industrial production for the month of August. Changes in industrial production are considered as a major indicator of strength in the manufacturing sector. By Mid-day European Union will release data on Consumer Core price Index & Consumer Price index for September. Later in the evening USA will release Industrial Production and Capacity Utilization.

Markets brace themselves for possible US interest rate increase

The market has come to depend on US Fed that's only raised rates once since June 2006 and expanded its balance sheet by $3.7 trillion during three rounds of quantitative easing. At the end of the FOMC minutes meeting, the rate decision was 69% positive and it is most likely that a rate hike will indeed take place in December.

USD boosted by Clinton's Debate Victory

The Euro declined to lowest in two months as the USD investor confidence was boosted with preference to Clinton over Trump running for office, speculating a stronger economy for US in the future.
